Company hires new product manager to support business with high-volume retailers

Kim Golden has joined Napa Home & Garden as Key Accounts Product Manager. With this addition, the Atlanta-based home décor company will enhance its product development capabilities and put additional focus on the unique needs of large-scale retailers.

Napa Home & Garden Announces Cindy Graves as Key Account Manager
Company growth allows for new focus on needs of key accounts

Cindy Graves has joined Napa Home & Garden as Key Account Manager. The hiring of Graves is another indication of continued growth for the Atlanta-based home décor company. With recent product additions in candles and apparel, and an expanded showroom experience, Napa has realized over 20% growth to date in 2017.

“This is another example of our progress,” states Jerry Cunningham, Napa CEO. “With Cindy, Napa is positioned to offer more attention to the needs of multiple-store retailers.”

Graves main task will be to work with Napa’s key accounts, focusing initially on expanding Napa’s business with furniture stores, catalogs and regional chains. She will also be responsible for developing key account business for Napa across all business segments.

Graves brings to Napa over 25 years of sales experience in the home décor and gift categories and has worked as sales manager for leading companies such as CBK, Evergreen Enterprises and Kalalou. Graves built her reputation as a strategic thinker and manager with the Ivystone Group, where she directed numerous sales teams in the southeast region, including sales of Napa products.

“Very few companies can deliver the stunning product that Napa can,” says Graves, “and very few can deliver the product attributes key accounts demand. I am extremely excited to be joining the Napa team.”

“Cindy is uniquely qualified to understand the individual needs of each account,” adds KC Cunningham, Napa President and Creative Director. “She is a delight to work with and very well-connected within the industry.”

Graves will report to Jerry Cunningham, Napa CEO, and will work closely with the Napa product design team. She will also coordinate efforts with Christy Sims, National Sales Manager, and Peter Jackson, VP e-commerce Sales.

Napa Home & Garden launches Threads Napa Valley, a new line of classic, timeless scarves

By adding apparel, Napa offers another selling opportunity for retailers.

Napa Home & Garden, the Atlanta-based home and garden company, is introducing a new line of scarves at 2017 summer markets. The collection is called Threads Napa Valley. This follows earlier category expansions from Napa in floral, holiday and candles.

Threads is inspired by the stylish men and women who shop our showrooms and by the casual elegance of the Napa Valley, where our company was founded,” remarks KC Cunningham, Napa President and Creative Director. “We are not about passing trends. Threads Napa Valley is timeless, classic scarves that will always remain in style and that men & women will simply love to wear.”

The Beauty of Threads

For the launch of this distinct collection of 18 light and airy designs, style and quality were key for Napa. All scarves are made of 100% wool & linen, creating a breathable, exquisite feel. Patterns range from subtle stripes to paisley, in neutral tones of navy/black, brown, blue and natural. Each scarf will wholesale for under $25.  “Scarves are an essential fashion element,” adds Cunningham. “They are the perfect wardrobe extension to refresh an outfit or to adapt to breezy mornings and cool nights. When travelling, I bring several with me, creating the illusion I have packed more outfits than I actually have.

Napa is also dressing up the packaging for Threads to enhance sales at the retail level. Scarves are artfully banded with an ecru linen ribbon that holds a cream-colored placard carrying the Threads name. “The packaging reflects the quality of the product and the aesthetic taste of our sophisticated buyer,” adds Cunningham.

Introductory Offer Makes it Easy for Retailers

To incentivize retailers, Napa will be offering an exclusive introductory Threads promotion at summer markets which will make the launch of these elegant accessories even more appealing.

The Business Behind Threads

In the past 5 years, Napa has seen many independent retailers expanding into multiple areas to attract more customers and to remain competitive. The company considers scarves to be an easy add-on sale and an ideal impulse purchase, especially for businesses that cater to a savvy customer base.

“Men & women buy scarfs---and not just when they are in a clothing store,” states KC Cunningham. “Any home-related business who sells to fashion-forward men & women should consider adding Threads.”

“So many of our customers are already selling apparel,” says Jerry Cunningham, Napa CEO. “Now they can easily add scarves to their next Napa order. Threads will be in stock and ready to ship in late summer---no need to pre-buy a season in advance.”

“We see this as a seamless transition for retailers,” adds Jerry Cunningham. “We know that the Napa customer will see the quality and style of Threads.”

New channels of distribution in the fashion/apparel industry will be a natural extension for Napa. Their US sales group, Ivystone, will be positioned to call on all these new retailers nationwide. Napa customers are encouraged to contact their Ivystone rep to learn more about Threads.
